Information
Ordering: Let me know what style and size you'd like. Send any references for character and pose you have. Additional questions I might ask are listed later here.
DMs: Messaging me is the most direct way to reach out (see contact methods below).
Google Form: I offer a google form for those iffy about the initial dm. I will still need to reach out after the form is sent, but it should help with initial set up.
Email: I have an email to message for orders. It is [email protected].
Contact: Message on Ko-fi, Twitter, or Instagram - @StraeSketches. Email [email protected]
Payment Methods: I accept PayPal, Venmo, and Ko‑fi tips. My Ko‑fi has a commissions tab for easy viewing of options. Ignore that it says "Sold Out" and check the "About" or "Page Intro" for the actual number of open slots (or the above number on this Carrd).
Payment: Payment is greatly appreciated upfront, but the default is after completion. If after, a low resolution, watermarked version will be sent for approval. Payment is expected upon approval of this final version. After payment is received, the final version will be sent via client's preferred method.
Delivery: File delivery is preferred via Google Drive, Dropbox, or Discord (if you trust their quality retention). This will be by client's choice and must be communicated at some point.
Wills and Won'ts: Will draw humanoid characters, animals, and light nsfw (covered/suggestive). Will not draw full nudity, nsfw, gore, body horror, and machinery or robots
References: References are super helpful! I will always request reference of the character and desired pose. These can be a stickman drawing, pose refs from the internet or other source, an in-depth description of character appearance and pose, etc.
Updates: The default for sending updates is after every stage of work (rough sketch, requested changes, clean sketch, line, etc.). Other options might include weekly (if applicable), on a certain day, multiple times a week, the client will simply reach out when curious, etc.
Canvas: Default canvas size (for character art) is 8.5 inch by 8.5 inch, 350 dpi, RGB color, and delivered with a transparent PNG background, or solid if the background add-on is requested.
Tips: I accept tips if you'd like to add onto the base payment or use the Ko‑fi tip feature. It is always very appreciated!! :)
Questions I may ask for an order:
Preferred contact method?
Any references of character and/or pose?
Preferred canvas size?
Any special requirements I should follow?
What will this piece be used for?
How often do you want updates?
Can I post this online?
Can I mention your username/name in the post as the commissioner? (ex. "commission done for [name]")
Terms and Conditions
Request Refusal: I have the right to refuse any commission request.
Refunds: If paying in advance, refunds are considered before a final rough sketch.
Re-dos: Full re-dos of a sketch are free until deemed excessive or unreasonable, for which a small, extra charge may be requested. Please be clear with requests, references, and changes. Small or partial changes to design, pose, color, etc. are always free, preferably before rendering.
Complex Designs: More complex designs may cost a small amount extra, depending on their difficulty and time to sketch.
Usage/Credit: If posting the commissioned work or using it online, specific credit must be given, like my username in bio or in the post containing the piece.
Copyright: Rights to any commissioned work remain with me, the artist, StraeSketches. Commissioned works are only to be used for non-commercial or non-profit reasons.
Pricing: Pricing is subject to change in the future. If actively working on a commission, the price will remain what it was when ordered.
AI/NFTs: NONE of my work has permission to be used in the training of "AI" or the creation of NFTs. No client has permission to use any of my work in this way, including non-commissioned pieces. No exceptions.
